FairMoney Microfinance Bank (MFB) has announced a landmark year in its operations, reinforcing its position as a pillar of Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem. Over the past 12 months, the institution disbursed over ₦150 billion in loans to individuals and businesses while rewarding savers with more than ₦7 billion in interest payouts.

Since evolving from a rapid credit platform in 2021 into a full-fledged licensed microfinance bank, FairMoney has transformed the financial landscape by combining high-yield savings, fixed deposits, and collateral-free lending with bank-grade security.

FairMoney’s success is built on a “technology-first” approach that utilizes AI and machine learning algorithms to analyze financial and alternative smartphone data, allowing the bank to create unique credit scores, provide fast collateral-free loans to underserved segments, and support small businesses with tailored POS solutions.

fairmoneyFurthermore, by operating under the strict regulation of the Central Bank of Nigeria, FairMoney ensures high-level trust and safety through NDIC-insured deposits, strict adherence to the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, and strategic alignment with the “Payment Systems Vision 2025” to support a stable, cashless economy.

“Our record loan disbursements and savings payouts are more than just numbers; they represent our unwavering tenacity in supporting the Nigerian financial ecosystem. Our savings products provide inflation-beating returns, ensuring genuine wealth preservation for our community,” said Henry Obiekea, Managing Director of FairMoney MFB.

As Nigeria enters 2026, FairMoney remains resolute in its mission to close the financial gap. By focusing on fairness, empowerment, and consumer confidence, the bank aims to further strengthen the resilience of Nigeria’s financial landscape and provide essential capital for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
