    .…Nomination for TiLAwards Continues

A strong line-up of technology, financial services, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and fintech leaders has been confirmed to speak at the inaugural GrowthX by Techeconomy conference to be held in Lagos this month.

The speakers will join executives, business leaders and other stakeholders on Thursday September 24, 2026, at The Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, with data localisation topping the agenda.

The conference, themed “Driving Digital Growth Through Innovation and Collaboration,” will run from 9:00am, while the Technology Innovation and Leadership Awards (TiLAwards gala night) will begin at 4:00pm.

GrowthX by Techeconomy will feature keynote presentations, a lead presentation, panel discussions and a fireside chat and exhibition while participating businesses will have the opportunity to present their products, services and technology solutions.

    Confirmed Speakers:

Among the confirmed speakers are Blessing Ehize, chief technology officer at First City Monument Bank (FCMB); Dr Ayotunde Coker, chief executive officer of Open Access Data Centres (OADC); Dr Krishnan Ranganath, chief executive officer of UniCloud Africa; Hakeem Adeniji-Adele, deputy Managing Director, eTranzact Int’l PLC; Abraham Durosanwo, Vice President, Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA); Adeshina Adewumi, founder and CEO of Trade Lenda; Roseline Ilori, founder and CEO of Bridge57 Solutions Limited; Philip Aiwekhoe, chief information security officer at NPF Microfinance Bank; Rarzack Olaegbe, producer of The Fintex Show on Nigeria Info 99.3 FM; and Elsie Godwin, co-founder and chief operating officer of Cashwise Finance.

    Others are:

Squadron Leader Adefola Amoo (Rtd), founder, GridCodes, and Victor Daniyan, chief executive officer, Nearpays Technologies.

Their areas of work emphasise the issues GrowthX will address, from banking technology and data centres to cloud infrastructure, SME finance, data protection, cybersecurity, digital payments and financial technology.

The confirmed speakers also reveal the purpose behind GrowthX, bringing people from different parts of the digital economy into one room to discuss issues that affect businesses and the wider industry.

Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required: https://luma.com/1vi3das5.

    Panel Topics:

The first panel topic “Data Localisation, Identity & the Future of Secure Payments in Nigeria”, will examine the implications of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recent data localisation directive for the country’s digital payments ecosystem. The discussion will ultimately consider how Nigeria can balance secure, resilient payment systems with innovation and global digital connectivity.

Second panel on “Building AI for Africa: Innovation, Infrastructure and Inclusive Growth”, will explore how Africa can move beyond AI adoption to AI development, building homegrown solutions that address the continent’s unique economic and social challenges.

While the third panel on “Fintech at a Crossroads? Innovation, Regulation and the Cost of Scaling in Nigeria” will examine the evolving landscape of Nigeria’s fintech sector as companies navigate the delicate balance between innovation, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth.

“We want the conversations at GrowthX to be useful to the people building, regulating, funding and using digital services in Nigeria. The speakers bring different experiences to the table, and that is important because digital growth does not depend on one sector alone,” said Peter Oluka, publisher/editor-in-chief, Techeconomy.

Technology Innovation and Leadership (TiLAwards Gala Night):

The event will end with the TiLAwards and gala night, which will recognise individuals and organisations contributing to Nigeria’s technology and digital economy. Nominations are ongoing.

Organised by Techeconomy Business Series, GrowthX by Techeconomy & TiLAwards are part activities to mark the ninth-anniversary the leading technology, business and economy news platform.

More information about GrowthX is available on the official GrowthX website, while information about the Technology Innovation and Leadership Awards is available on the TiLAwards website.
