AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software driving digital transformation and sustainability, has secured a coveted position in the Leaders Category of the 2024-2025 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This recognition underscores AVEVA’s strong capabilities and innovative approach to modern manufacturing.

This recognition underscores AVEVA’s strong capabilities and innovative approach to modern manufacturing.

The IDC MarketScape report highlights AVEVA’s unique “composable and model-driven MES” which merges powerful business process management with core MES functionalities. This enables manufacturers to achieve consistent standards across multiple sites, track global key performance indicators (KPIs), implement industry best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

A key strength identified by the report is AVEVA’s seamless integration. The report states that “Native integration with AVEVA’s operations control platform and PI System leverages agnostic connectivity to automation and IIoT devices, providing production control and operational execution tracking for fast-moving processes that rely on high levels of automation.

Together with its advanced MES capabilities and industrial data platform CONNECT, AVEVA is well positioned in the market.” This integrated approach provides a comprehensive view of operations, crucial for optimizing efficiency.

David Bleackly, Vice President Advanced Applications at AVEVA, expressed pride in the recognition, stating, “We’re proud that AVEVA has been recognized as a Leader. In today’s competitive environment, manufacturers need to harness the power of cloud-based operational data to build agile supply chains. The resulting insights will drive waste reduction, energy conservation, and overall efficiency and sustainability improvements.”

Lorenzo Veronesi, Associate Research Director at IDC Manufacturing Insights, emphasized AVEVA’s suitability for large-scale deployments, stating, “AVEVA MES is particularly suited to organizations looking to deploy their MES solution across multiple facilities/locations and include an MES as part of their digital transformation initiatives.”

AVEVA’s recent launch of its hybrid MES solution further solidifies its leadership. This innovative solution combines edge-based, model-driven MES capabilities with cloud-based data, analytics, and visualization services on its CONNECT platform. This allows manufacturers to consolidate production execution data and operational data from various sources, including AVEVA PI System and Operations Control, into a single, secure cloud location, providing unparalleled visibility and control.
