Ninety female entrepreneurs are now equipped to scale their businesses thanks to the successful conclusion of the IGNITEHER BOOTCAMP, a five-day intensive program spearheaded by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Held from March 3rd to 7th, 2025, the boot camp focused on providing practical knowledge and skills in business development, financial management, and digital transformation. Participants received expert-led training designed to address the unique challenges faced by women in entrepreneurship, including systemic barriers and funding gaps.

The program’s curriculum was structured to deliver high-impact learning, covering:

Gender Disparity in Business: Identifying and overcoming barriers to women’s entrepreneurship.

Business Planning: Developing structured business plans using the Lean Business Model Canvas and SMART goals.

Digital Literacy: Mastering digital tools, cloud storage, online communication, and internet safety.

Digital Transformation: Leveraging technology and AI for business growth, including digital branding and marketing.

Industry Insights: Panel discussions with business leaders, venture capitalists, and ecosystem accelerators.

Participants engaged in interactive sessions, practical exercises, and real-world case studies, fostering a strong network of female entrepreneurs. The bootcamp concluded with an opportunity for select businesses and startups to participate in a startup event in Japan, scheduled for August 2025.

Testimonials highlighted the transformative impact of the program. “The IgniteHer Bootcamp has been an incredibly transformative experience,” shared Imaobong Edukere. “I now feel more prepared to implement what I’ve learned and make a lasting impact.” Hadiza Isah Mohammed added, “I’ve been ignited and ready to continue my journey.”

The IGNITEHER BOOTCAMP reflects NITDA’s commitment to bridging the gender gap in the digital economy and supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The program’s success underscores the importance of empowering women with the essential knowledge and networks needed to thrive in today’s business landscape.
