This International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, as the global community rallies under the theme “Give to Gain,” PalmPay is translating advocacy into impact. By equipping young women with the high-demand skills and resources needed to navigate a fast-evolving economy, PalmPay is ensuring that investment in women yields collective progress.

The PalmPay Purple Woman 3.0 is a premier 3-day Digital Financial & Technology Masterclass designed specifically to bridge the gender divide in the technology sector. The initiative goes beyond theory, focusing on job-ready skills and direct pathways to career placement.

Since its inception in 2024, the Purple Woman initiative has successfully empowered 150 women in specialized fields such as Data Analysis, Software Engineering, and Product Management. By providing hands-on training and premium learning resources, the program has become a springboard for women entering the competitive fintech landscape.

From March 5–7, 2026, a new cohort of 100 ambitious women (aged 18–30) will be selected through a rigorous application process. Over three immersive days, these participants will undergo intensive training led by industry experts at the forefront of digital finance and technology.

The impact, however, extends far beyond the classroom:

    • Direct Mentorship: Real-time guidance from fintech veterans.
    • Career Fast-Track: Ten outstanding participants will secure a 3-to-6-month internship with PalmPay, gaining invaluable, boots-on-the-ground experience in one of Africa’s leading fintech ecosystems.

For the participants, the Purple Woman Program is a catalyst for long-term transformation. It is a space to build professional networks, cultivate leadership confidence, and unlock the doors to high-trajectory career opportunities.

“Investing in women isn’t just a moral imperative; it’s an economic one. When we ‘Give’ women the tools to succeed, society ‘Gains’ a more innovative and inclusive future.”
