Konga, a leading e-commerce group, is set to disrupt the Nigerian media and commerce landscape with the launch of its AI-powered FM radio station in Lagos. Slated for January 2025, this groundbreaking initiative will be Africa’s first Hit Music & Commerce Station, blending technology, entertainment, and commerce to create a unique and impactful experience.

KongaFM will be a pioneering platform that empowers brands, distributors, and OEMs to reach untapped markets, revolutionizing real-time commerce. While delivering non-stop hit music, the station will offer businesses a new avenue for product visibility and market penetration.

Equipped with state-of-the-art broadcasting technology and a dynamic team of experienced professionals and young talent, KongaFM will commence test transmissions in mid-January 2025. This latest venture aligns with Konga’s broader strategy to disrupt traditional marketing communications and amplify consumer engagement across various sectors, including FMCG, electronics, and digital solutions.

The launch of KongaFM is expected to have a significant impact on Nigeria’s FX market, potentially influencing the pricing and availability of key goods and commodities. This aligns with Konga’s history of innovation in the e-commerce sector.

KongaFM, along with Konga’s existing TV arm and other media services, will create synergies that set new standards for the convergence of entertainment and commerce in Africa. The station will also be accessible globally, expanding Konga’s reach and influence.

While specific details about the station’s programming and features remain under wraps, the anticipation surrounding its launch continues to build. Industry experts and media enthusiasts eagerly await what is poised to be a major evolution in Africa’s media and commerce landscape.
