Medlitics Limited has officially announced the launch of Medlitics, an innovative digital health platform designed to transform the landscape of chronic disease care across Africa.

By seamlessly connecting patients, doctors, hospitals, and insurance providers into a single, intelligent ecosystem, the platform transitions chronic care from a reactive model to a proactive, continuous experience.

Managing chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension has traditionally been defined by rigid clinic appointments, self-reported paper logs, and a lack of real-time visibility for physicians.

But Medlitics addresses these gaps by allowing patients to sync their everyday wearables such as Samsung Health, Google Fit, Apple Health, and Fitbit, alongside Bluetooth-enabled medical devices like glucometers and blood pressure monitors, with the platform automatically aggregating this data every 15 minutes, building a continuous health timeline.

“Our goal is to build healthcare that truly works for everyone, moving beyond the walls of traditional waiting rooms. Chronic diseases require daily attention, not just quarterly checkups. By bridging the gap between everyday life and clinical oversight, we are enabling doctors to see health trends as they happen and step in before minor fluctuations turn into medical emergencies. We are putting proactive health management directly into the hands of the people who need it most,” said Michael Fasere, Founder of Medlitics.

The core of the Medlitics platform relies on a sophisticated 24/7 automated rules engine. The moment a patient’s vitals, such as blood sugar, heart rate, or blood pressure, fall outside customized safe thresholds, the system triggers real-time health alerts to both the patient and their assigned physician.

Backed by an average doctor response time of under two minutes and a 98% alert accuracy rate, the platform ensures critical clinical interventions happen swiftly.

In addition to continuous monitoring, the platform features the Meddy AI Health Assistant, a 24/7, context-aware AI companion powered by Claude that offers patients evidence-based suggestions and personalized health trend summaries. It also includes a virtual and in-person care ecosystem providing integrated encrypted chat and high-quality video consultations via Daily.co for seamless telehealth access. Furthermore, the platform embeds insurance and financial tools, including an in-app wallet powered by 1app for multi-currency top-ups and native access to health insurance products from Curacel’s partner network. Finally, it relies on an accessibility-first infrastructure built as an NDPR-compliant, end-to-end encrypted Progressive Web App (PWA) that installs seamlessly on Android, iOS, or desktop without requiring an app store download and includes offline functionality.

Already gaining significant momentum with over 2,400 people on its waitlist, thousands of active patients, and over 800 verified doctors on board, Medlitics is positioned to drastically reduce insurance claims, improve clinical outcomes, and lighten the heavy burden of chronic illness on families across Nigeria and the broader African continent.

The platform is free to start for patients looking to take control of their health and for doctors aiming to scale their clinical efficacy.
