Moniepoint has announced that the second cohort of its flagship DreamDevs Bootcamp will culminate in a highly anticipated Demo Day celebration on May 26, 2026, at its Ikeja facility.

The event, themed “Training Done! Demo Up!”, will serve as a premier stage for participants to showcase the capstone projects they built during an intensive, nine-week, industry-grade software engineering programme.

The DreamDevs Bootcamp represents Moniepoint’s dedicated commitment to identifying and nurturing Africa’s brightest engineering minds. To ensure participants could fully immerse themselves in the rigorous curriculum without financial strain, all cohort members received a monthly salary throughout the duration of the program.

Developed by Moniepoint’s internal Engineering Unit in partnership with Semicolon, a leading technology education institution, the intensive curriculum bridged the gap between theory and real-world application, covering Java OOP Foundations, Data Structures & Algorithms, Testing, MySQL & JDBC and Spring Boot APIs & System Design.

Others are Docker & Messaging Queues, Frontend UI & Cloud Infrastructure and Core Practical Software Engineering Concepts.

Admission into the bootcamp is fiercely competitive. To secure a spot, applicants had to scale multiple rigorous screening phases, including a HackerRank technical assessment and an intense, in-person live coding challenge.

“Engineering excellence is a curated and intentionally built process that requires the right systems, resources, and time. The DreamDevs Bootcamp is our way of taking that responsibility seriously. We designed a program that does not just teach syntax or frameworks, but develops engineers who can think, solve, and build at the highest level. Seeing graduates from our first cohort already thriving within our engineering team tells us we are on the right track, and we are excited to see what this second group brings to Demo Day,” Felix Ike, Co-Founder and CTO of Moniepoint

The success of the DreamDevs initiative is already evident. Several graduates from the inaugural cohort are currently full-time, active members of Moniepoint’s engineering team—proving the program serves as a genuine pipeline for world-class technical talent.

Ultimately, the DreamDevs Bootcamp underscores Moniepoint’s broader mission to invest heavily in local tech talent, building robust engineering capacity capable of competing and leading on a global stage.
