MTN Nigeria has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Nigerian organization, the first company in the telecommunications industry, and the first within the MTN Group to receive the prestigious Compliance Management System (CMS) certification from the International Accreditation Service (IAS).

This globally recognized certification underscores MTN Nigeria’s dedication to upholding the highest compliance standards across its operations, encompassing telecommunications, digital services, mobile voice and data, innovative digital platforms, and more.

“This achievement reflects our robust compliance framework and proactive approach to managing risks in the dynamic digital landscape. It reinforces our commitment to providing Nigerians with secure, reliable, and innovative solutions,” said Obiageli Ugboma, MTN Nigeria’s Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.

The International Accreditation Service (IAS), a globally respected accreditation body, evaluates organizations based on recognized international standards, ensuring the credibility and global acceptance of its accreditations.

The ISO 37301:2021 CMS standard provides a framework for organizations to establish and maintain effective compliance management systems, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical standards. This certification strengthens stakeholder trust and enhances corporate governance and operational efficiency.

By achieving this certification, MTN Nigeria demonstrates its commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and sets a new standard for excellence in compliance management within the telecommunications industry and beyond.
