    NASENI Chief honored for innovation leadership at NEAPS 2024

Kashim Shettima, GCON on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at the weekend in Abuja.

    Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), received a prestigious award at the 2nd Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).

    Presented by Vice President Kashim Shettima on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the award recognizes Mr. Halilu’s exceptional leadership and achievements in engineering and industrial innovation during his first year at NASENI’s helm.

    The NEAPS ceremony, held at the Presidential Villa, celebrates outstanding public servants who significantly contribute to Nigeria’s development. Mr. Halilu’s recognition highlights his dedication to transforming NASENI into a hub for technological advancement and innovation, not just in Nigeria but across Africa.

    Since taking charge, Mr. Halilu has spearheaded transformative reforms at NASENI, driving technological progress and industrial growth. His vision has propelled the agency to new heights, with key initiatives establishing NASENI as a leading innovation hub and showcasing Nigeria’s manufacturing potential.

    These efforts include developing cutting-edge technologies, promoting sustainable industrial practices, and forging strategic partnerships with industry leaders to bolster Nigeria’s global competitiveness.

    In his acceptance speech, Mr. Halilu expressed his gratitude to the President, Vice President, and the entire NASENI team. He emphasized that the award is a collective achievement, reflecting the team’s hard work and dedication.

    “This award recognizes our commitment to advancing engineering and industrial innovation in Nigeria. It represents the efforts of the entire NASENI team, and I am deeply honored to accept it on their behalf,” stated Mr. Halilu.
