The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) unveiled exciting new products two days ago, 2024, sparking a surge of interest from both businesses and consumers.

The Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, showcased the innovative lineup at a media event in Abuja, giving those who were present a glimpse of the NASENI 300 Watts LED Solar Street Lamp, NASENI Laptop, NASENI Lithium battery, NASENI solar irrigation pumps, and a NASENI Smartphone.

Since the reveal, NASENI has been flooded with inquiries. This surge many industry watchers believe reflects NASENI’s new strategy under Mr. Halilu’s leadership, even as the company emphasizes partnering with private companies to bring high-quality products to market, leveraging NASENI’s expertise and market access.

Meanwhile, in a statement, NASENI has said if you’re interested in bulk orders for the NASENI laptop or solar irrigation pumps, or want to pre-order any other product, send an email to sales@naseni.gov.ng.

“We aim to avoid duplication and get products to people faster,” explains Mr. Halilu. “We partner with established companies and support them in improving and selling their products. We see ourselves as enablers, not competitors,” the statement signed by Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, Director of Information at NASENI.

NASENI’s long-term vision involves transitioning from basic assembly to full-scale domestic production using locally sourced materials. They’re also committed to knowledge transfer, ensuring all necessary technology and intellectual property are readily available.
