Nestlé Nigeria’s commitment to skill development and youth empowerment shines through as the company celebrates the first graduation of 20 young graduates from its Technical Training Center (TTC) in Flowergate.
Launched in 2023, the Flowergate TTC is part of Nestlé Nigeria’s broader technical training initiative, which has been running since 2011. The program has successfully trained over 200 young Nigerians, equipping them with essential technical skills to thrive in the workforce.
The 18-month curriculum at the TTC combines theoretical learning with hands-on engineering experience, culminating in the City and Guilds of London Technicians’ Certification. This rigorous training enhances participants’ employability and prepares them for successful careers.
At the graduation ceremony, Mr. Wassim Elhusseini, Managing Director/CEO of Nestlé Nigeria, emphasized the importance of investing in young talent: “By equipping these young people with critical technical expertise, we are opening doors to personal growth and financial independence. This is a long-term investment in creating shared value, as their success extends beyond themselves, impacting their families and communities.”
Beyond the TTC, Nestlé Nigeria’s broader commitment to youth empowerment is reflected in its Nestlé Needs YOUth initiative. This program helps young people access economic opportunities, reaching an average of 25,000 youths annually.
Through its technical training programs and youth initiatives, Nestlé Nigeria is playing a vital role in developing the next generation of skilled professionals and contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s economy.
