The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has rated that Africa and indeed Nigeria readiness seemed to be slow in coming to terms with the far-reaching implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Thus, it is gratifying that the 2019 ICTEL EXPO, scheduled for 16-17th of July this year will be providing another great opportunity to influence national discourse on the culture of enterprise in

Nigeria from an ICT positive perspective.

The President of LCCI, Mr. Babatunde Ruwase, who stated this last Friday during a media launch of the 2019 ICTEL Expo in Lagos, added that this year’s Expo with the theme ‘Fourth Industrial revolution: The Nigerian Story,’ will provide the required inspiration which many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) need in their quest for improved performance.

“The Fourth Industril Revolution is here, but can we say we are prepared,” he asked rhetorically.

The 2019 ICTEL EXPO, according to him will be providing aspiring entrepreneurs, Tech Start-

Ups and thousands of unemployed and under employed Nigerians yet another unique opportunity for an enriching learning experience, capacity building, Mentoring, connecting with investors and employers of labour.

He also assured that the distinguished speakers at this year’s Expo will bring to the fore issues that will result in new government policies and initiatives which would prepare Nigeria and Nigerians for the relaities and implications of the Fourth Industril Revolution.

“Our various governments at all levels must rise to the challenges of the increasing technological revolution if our dream for a truly great nation must be realized,” Rusawe advised.
