The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has reaffirmed its dedication to driving Nigeria’s digital transformation and ensuring inclusive economic growth.

Speaking at the 3rd edition of the TeXcellence Conference, which is hosted by CWG Plc, a Pan-African systems solutions company, NITDA Director General Kashifu Inuwa outlined the agency’s strategic vision and roadmap encapsulated in the Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP) 2.0.

The DG, who was represented by the agency’s Director of the Stakeholder Management and Partnerships department, Dr Aristotle Onumo, explained that the SRAP 2.0 focuses on eight strategic pillars aimed at empowering Nigerians and fostering economic development through digital innovation.

Inuwa emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach to achieving national digital growth. He highlighted NITDA’s commitment to bridging digital divides, promoting gender equality, and accommodating individuals with special needs. The agency aims to position Nigeria as a global leader in digital literacy and tech talent, ensuring that Nigerians are well-equipped for the digital era.

To achieve its goals, NITDA seeks collaborations and partnerships with stakeholders across the industry. The agency believes that by working together, Nigeria can create a thriving digital innovation ecosystem and unlock the full potential of digital technology for economic prosperity and social inclusion.
