The trio of Rt. Hon Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa and Rt. Hon. Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu (member House of Representatives, Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency), have been confirmed to deliver a special award speech and plenary conference address at this year’s SME Economy Conference & Award.

In a statement signed in Lagos by Mr. Emmanuel Ezima, the project, quoted the guest speakers as saying they are passionate about the growth of SMEs in Nigeria and have committed themselves to building infrastructure and also evolving policies that will ensure that SMEs thrive and compete globally.

The 2-day conference with the theme: “Tech Governance Funding”, is projected to be the largest SME gathering, and will be held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island Lagos, on Saturday, 22nd September 2018, and Sunday 23rd September 2018.

It is aimed to provide a significant platform where African entrepreneurs can incubate, innovate, upscale operations, and also get trained, mentored and be out of poverty. “This year’s conference is special, as it would feature exhibitions and a major Award ceremony that will recognize outstanding SMEs, who are innovating ideas that are changing Nigeria’s economic trajectory and also recognize stakeholders in government and private sector who have contributed meaningfully to the sector,” the statement added.

Delegates to the conference will be over three thousand youth driven SMEs across different sectors and SME service providers, including but not limited to creative, Events, Tech, Fashion, Entertainment, Makeup, Agriculture, Production, Manufacturing, Cosmetics and Corporate Services etc.
