    Ogungboye, e.Stream Networks boss to chair NITRA Forum

    The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of e.Stream Networks, Engr. Muyiwa Ogungboye has been announced as the chairman of the Nigeria Information Technology Reporters Association (NITRA), quarterly forum.

    The one day forum is scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, with the theme: “Local Content Development In Nigeria’s ICT Sector: Stimulant for National Economic Recovery.” 

    e.Stream Networks is one of Nigeria’s leading licensed broadband communications providers, dedicated to providing suitable connectivity solutions to businesses and clients across the country.

    A check on Ogungboye’s profile revealed that he is an entrepreneur and business leader specializing in new product development, strategic operations & sales management.

    He is today the 2nd Vice President of the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), is an ardent believer in best practice, evidenced in e.Stream Networks receiving ISO9001:2008 certification under his stewardship.

    With over 10 years’ experience as Chief Executive Officer responsible for implementing the e.Stream Network’s business objectives and a budget close to N1bn annually, Ogungboye led the transformation of e.Stream Networks from single to multiple broadband products, serving a diverse customer base nationwide and resulting in double digit growth for the company over the years.

    He is an expert in managing big expansion projects, and has steered the establishment of multiple POPs across Nigeria as well as consistently delivered value to shareholders and other stakeholders.

    Engr. Ogungboye studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Ilorin and the University of Lagos, where he obtained his first and second degrees, respectively. He capped it with an MBA from the Bradford University School of Management.

    Before assuming his current position as managing director/chief executive officer of e.Stream Networks, he was at various times, Principal Consultant/Co-founder, LeoCom Multiconcept Ltd; General Manager, Strategic Business Development at SpaceNet Technologies Ltd; and Senior Manager, Operations and Technical Strategies of SpaceNet Technologies Ltd.

    The NITRA Third Quarter Forum, will not only highlight the opportunities and challenges of deploying local content in the country’s ICT sector, it will also provide knowledge and networking platform that will bring together technology innovators, developers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and other players in the nation’s ICT sector.
