Olivet Cloud Solutions and Sage West Africa have urged members of the Computer and Allied Products Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN) to leverage technology in moving their business forward.

The two companies stated this yesterday at a one day business workshop on Sage Software, with the theme, ‘Business Insights on Accountability and Visibility: The Sage Solutions” which was organised by Olivet Cloud Solutions Limited at the CAPDAN National Secretariat in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Olivet Cloud Solutions, Mrs Chioma Chima, specifically told CAPDAN that as Small and Medium Enterprises, the right thing to do to move their business forward, is to effectively deploy cutting edge technology.

She promised that the partnership with CAPDAN would help them to drive their platform enable end-users to buy the correct software and there would also be training of members on the right technologies to use.

“As regards visibility, there was a need for them to list their products online and allow integration in ones Facebook page, digital marketing ability, Google Ad world and also email marketing. Technology is helping businesses to grow and that is why we need the CAPDAN members to adopt,” she said.

Meanwhile, Mr Magnus Nmonwu, the Regional Director Sage West Africa, the pioneer accounting solution provider, said with the right technology, members of CAPDAN will be able to take control  of their businesses regardless of where they are.

He advised CAPDAN members to tap into Sage solutions, saying it would enable them to be  accountable “The world is moving at a rapid space, whether we like it or not, but it will be wise for us to adopt technologies that will help our business to grow and make money. Businesses are going mobile and with the use of social media, it will give the market people the visibility that they need for their businesses,” he said.

Also speaking, the President of CAPDAN, Mr. Ahmed Ojikutu noted that technology adoption is the surest way to ensure accountability in the today’s business world.

In his words, “We are in a world, where business can only thrive on technology. This is why we as members of CAPDAN are here to understudy Sage as a solution that will give us best of accountability and visibility to develop our business,” he said.

He added that there is a need to take business online, as a brick and metal shop attracts less customers compared to having an online presence, believing that the workshop will equip business owner in Otigba to be competitive.

The partnership between Sage, Olivet Cloud Solutions and the Computer and Allied Product Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN), will enable Sage to launch her Small business Solutions to CAPDAN Members.
