As part of its initiative to deepen its support for startups in Nigeria, a leading technology blog, CFAtech. ng has opened entries for a pitch session.

Interested startups and entrepreneurs are expected to sign up/submit their ideas at http://startups.cfatech.ng. While those who want to observe the pitch session must register here https://goo.gl/forms/xVrGYSSi4Rkxwseo1.

The pitch session will hold at No 53 Oladipo Bateye, GRA, Ikeja on the 24th May 2018. And the winner of the pitch will have a One on One with CFA.

Applicants should note that any idea to be pitched should able meet certain criteria, such as solving specific problems, having unique selling points, marketability, business model etc.

A pitch session serves as an avenue for entrepreneurs to tell prospective investors their stories as well as the need to invest in their business. Successful stories trigger the interest of prospects on why they should invest in businesses.

Speaking ahead of the pitch exercise, ChukwuemekaFred Agbata, Founder of CFAtech.ng posited that goal of the CFA team is to provide the opportunity for startups to grow in all possible ways and being part of this process adds value to businesses.

He said the growth of startups or entrepreneurs remains paramount to the Nigerian economy. “Some of the startups that have participated in our previous pitch sessions are making some progress.

It gladdens my heart to see these startups scale up. Just recently Touchabl got a seed fund while MyPadihas been on another level.”

Here is the list of judges for the pitch session:

    1. Jane Egerton-Idehen, Country Manager, Avanti Satellite Communication

    2. Emilia Asim-Ita, Founder, AML

    3. Adeolu Abodunrin, Director, Xpos Technologies
