Optimus AI Labs, a fast-growing AI-centric development firm focused on harnessing African technical expertise for global clients, is leveraging its flagship product, OMNIS, a new AI-powered customer engagement engine, to revolutionize how businesses interact with users, moving mobile applications beyond simple transactional functions.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos, Lanre Basamta, Co-founder and CEO of Optimus AI Labs, emphasized that OMNIS directly addresses the growing need for deeper, more meaningful digital interaction.

“We are moving past the era where an app is just a digital cash register. OMNIS transforms your application from a transactional tool into a dynamic, intelligent experience hub,” Basamta. Said.

According to the CEO, OMNIS is designed to learn and adapt to individual user behavior in real time, shifting the focus from generic design to truly personalized engagement.

Basamta highlighted three core ways OMNIS delivers superior value. First, it offers personalized experiences as the engine uses behavioral data to deliver highly tailored content and features, ensuring users remain engaged over the long term. Second, the product provides frictionless navigation by anticipating user needs, which makes common or necessary transactions effortless and seamless. Third, OMNIS features AI-driven support; the platform integrates intelligent support capabilities, which reduces customer effort and significantly boosts satisfaction rates by providing instant, relevant assistance.

The launch of OMNIS aligns with Optimus AI Labs’ broader mission to increase the efficiency of business processes and deploy mass-market solutions that drive scale and growth for their global partners.

Basamta also reiterated the company’s vision to be the leading AI development and technology house out of Africa, noting the continent’s unique position for rapid AI adoption.

“Africa presents a unique space for AI adoption. With a young population and a rapidly growing mobile market, the continent is poised to leverage the transformative power of AI. Optimus AI Labs is committed to leading this revolution by developing solutions like OMNIS that are tailored to the specific needs and contexts of the African market and beyond,” Basamta added. “

The company, whose focus from 2024 into 2025 sharpened around Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, also offers an AI-powered customer support product called eeV, alongside expert services in DataOps and software development.
