Students admitted into the CWG Academy for the 2019 session have expressed their excitement, saying they are being taught in the Academy what is capable of turning them into real Tech Guru very soon in Nigeria and anywhere in the world.

One of the trainees, Pascal Amaechi, a graduate of electronics and electrical engineering from the Covenant University, who spoke with ITPulse, said having heard from a friend who passed through CWG Academy, has been very successful in the IT industry, hence, his reason to also participate in the 2019 session. He further stated that the experience so far has been overwhelming, as the training he has received has developed him and he is ready to make a mark in the Global ICT industry.

In his words, “I signed up for the Academy to become an IT expert and to be up to date with the current trends in the IT world. From what I have seen and learned here, it is safe to say CWG Academy is a fast-growing Academy and it has taken me to the next level of my life,” he said.

Asked what message he has for other Nigerians, Pascal said he would encourage anybody that wants to pursue a career in IT to come and experience what CWG Academy does, saying it is the best place to be.

Another trainee, who simply mentioned her name as Morolake, said she joined the Academy to add value to herself and her future workplace.

“Having spent some days, I will advise anybody who wants to build a solid career in the IT sector to register at CWG Academy. It is a place where knowledge that can ultimately position you for the best jobs in town or possibly become an entrepreneur is learned,” Morolake stated.

The CWG Academy has since inception, a decade ago, trained and develop over 1,500 Professionals. Some of these professionals, findings revealed, are working with Blue-Chip companies in Nigeria today. Some have also gone ahead to establish their owned companies as entrepreneurs and are doing very well.

According to Academy Director, Mr. Effiong Emmanuel, the Academy offers practical learning experience from experts, who inspire graduates to develop and deploy ICT solutions. This, he noted, is one of the many ways CWG contributes her quota to Nation building, thereby, tackling the Nigerian unemployment quagmire. “What we do here is to create the know-how and confidence needed to be the next set of Tech-leaders in Nigeria as we believe doing this will continue to create jobs for other Nigerians riding on technology,” he said.

The Academy deals with four core areas of the Information and Communications Technology ecosystem. They are Advance Service management, Data Centre Infrastructure Services, IT Infrastructure & Cloud Platform and Software Training.
