Systegra Technologies Ltd., a subsidiary of Interswitch Group and a licensed Tier-5 Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), is joining forces with Amdocs to revolutionize mobile services in Nigeria.

This partnership aims to empower Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) and boost the country’s rapidly expanding mobile market.

As an NCC-licensed MVNE, Systegra will enable Tier 1, 2, and 3 MVNOs to offer a wide range of mobile products, services, and offers. Leveraging the existing Radio Access Networks (RAN) of major mobile operators, Systegra will deploy its own advanced Switching and Business Support Systems (BSS), including an Online Charging System (OCS). This infrastructure will allow new MVNOs to launch services quickly and efficiently, eliminating the need for substantial infrastructure investments.

Systegra has selected Amdocs’ cloud-native ConnectX platform, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), to provide 3G, 4G, and 5G connectivity to its MVNO customers. This comprehensive solution includes BSS, OCS, CRM, payment systems, and a B2B app store. With over 50 TM Forum compliant APIs, ConnectX ensures seamless integration, operational efficiency, and scalability, supporting Nigeria’s growing MVNO market while adhering to industry best practices.

“Amdocs impressed us with their multi-tenant capabilities, ease of connection, flexibility, and rapid time-to-market,” said Mitchell Elegbe, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Interswitch Group. “Their ConnectX platform perfectly aligns with our vision to deliver an exceptional digital experience to MVNOs and end-users.”

Anthony Goonetilleke, Group President of Technology and Head of Strategy at Amdocs, added, “We are committed to supporting Systegra Technologies’ growth and digital-first flexibility goals. Our SaaS ConnectX platform scales dynamically to meet demand and offers unparalleled flexibility for creating innovative services, allowing Systegra to focus on business expansion.”

“This collaboration with Amdocs strengthens our position as a key enabler in Nigeria’s evolving telecoms ecosystem,” stated Jonah Adams, Managing Director, Systegra Technologies. “We are committed to driving innovation that makes a tangible difference, ensuring mobile users benefit from more choices, better services, and seamless connectivity.”

This initiative supports the NCC’s goal of fostering innovation and competition within Nigeria’s telecommunications sector. Systegra Technologies is preparing to launch new 3G, 4G, 5G, and IoT services, contributing to Nigeria’s digital transformation and providing customers with enhanced connectivity options.
