TikTok is strengthening its commitment to the African music industry with the launch of TikTok for Artists in Nigeria. This new platform provides musicians and their teams with powerful tools and data to help them better understand their audience, boost fan engagement, and build sustainable careers.
The new TikTok for Artists platform, which launched globally this year, offers comprehensive analytics and daily-updated dashboards that give artists unprecedented access to key metrics like detailed song and post-performance and follower demographics.
In addition to analytics, TikTok for Artists provides educational resources, guides on using platform features, and support to help artists build long-term careers. The platform also includes a new Pre-Release tool, which lets artists create campaigns for upcoming albums and allows fans to pre-save music directly to their preferred streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
Toyin Mustapha, Head of Music Partnerships for TikTok, noted that the platform’s goal is to give creators transparent data so they can make smarter decisions and connect with a global community. “This platform is about putting powerful, transparent data in the hands of creators so they can make smarter decisions and connect with the global TikTok community,” she said.
British artist Jordan Adetunji praised the new platform, calling it a “game changer.” He highlighted how the information on his music, followers, and how his songs are used in posts is invaluable for planning campaigns.
TikTok for Artists is now available to all artists with a certified TikTok Artist Account.
