Twisco, the brand known for “nourishing big dreams, continued with its commitment of nurturing young minds by sponsoring the third annual Spelling Genius competition recently.

Held at the SUBEB Multipurpose Hall in Maryland, Lagos, the event brought together over 1,500 students and teachers from both public and private primary and secondary schools.

The competition aimed to ignite a passion for learning by testing and enhancing the students’ vocabulary and spelling skills.

Twisco awarded a total of ₦750,000 in prize money to the top three winners. The third-place winner received ₦150,000, the second-place winner walked away with ₦250,000, and the champion speller took home a grand prize of ₦350,000.

Speaking at the event, Oyetola Akeredolu, the Brand Manager for Promassidor Nigeria’s Dairy Category, emphasized Twisco’s commitment to going beyond spelling skills. “We’re not just helping children develop their spelling and reading comprehension, we’re also building their confidence and communication abilities,” she explained to reporters.

“Empowering young minds, one word at a time, is at the core of Twisco,” Akeredolu added. “We’ve been doing this because these children are our future, and their well-being is important to us.”
