Speaking at the commercial launch at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, the Managing Director of VDT, Mr. Abiodun Omoniyi, disclosed that what VDT is launching is a retail broadband service that will address Nigeria’s insatiable data need.

He said, with the launch, the average Nigerians will be able to communicate effectively, while businesses, especially the Small Medium Enterprises would be transformed, as lack of accessible and affordable Internet services has always been the bane of most business misfortunes.

“Today, we are launching our retail data network 4G LTE Advanced service in the market with the theme ”… over the life” which we are leveraging to drive home the unique lifestyle changing attributes and benefits of our service,” he said.

The 4G LTE service, according to Omoniyi will provide world class services to innovative minds, will usher freedom to homes and office and will allow every individual to live his or her desired lifestyle. “Customers should expect high speed Internet service and wide spread. It allows you to have triple play – we have built it on a technology that gives you access from 4G to 5G,” he assured.

He noted that the launch is attributed to the successful acquisition of a 2.3GHz Spectrum from the Federal Government through Bitflux Communications Limited; a consortium which VDT is the principal partner, a few years ago.

Despite the existence of other players in the market, Omoniyi claimed that the decision to launch the VDT 4G LTE service is owing to the gaps existing in the market due to poor quality networks, poor customer service and support service inherent in the market. He assured that the VDT 4G LTE Advanced has come to fill these yawning gaps with superior network quality, top-notch network performance and proactive customer support services.

Accordingly, the ultimate goal of the launch is to offer members of the public an exceptional broadband experience every time they subscribe to their network. Thus, enhancing all aspects of their lives qualitatively and quantitatively; helping them to achieve more and truly live the life they are meant to.

A check on the product range indicates that they are offering home CPE and mobile mifi devices at highly attractive rates, which come with free 3068 of data. It also comes with the most attractive free night browsing [8pm to 7am] plan available in the industry. Other value added for the mobile mifi includes a free power bank [depending on the home CPE purchased], data rates as low as N3,500 and unlimited internet data plan at low prices.
