    Why we recognize Dr. Krishnan as Tech Ecosystem Builder of the Year

    The organizer of the annual Titans of Tech Awards has adduced reasons why Dr. Krishnan Ranganath, Regional Executive-West Africa at Africa Data Centre (ADC) was recognized as the Tech Ecosystem Builder of the Year in the 2025 edition.

    Convener of Titans of Tech Awards, Don Pedro Aganbi, disclosed the reasons to Journalists after presenting the award plaque to Eugene Uka, Head of Sales, West Africa at Africa Data Centres, who represented Dr. Krishnan at the ceremony held on Friday, July 25 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.

    Aganbi highlighted Dr. Krishnan’s significant contributions to the tech ecosystem, particularly in developing crucial infrastructure that powers economies across West Africa.

    “We are indeed happy to recognize Dr. Krishnan as Tech Ecosystem Builder of the Year in this year’s Titans of Tech Awards. He is a key stakeholder who has established and managed various networks and world-class data centres that are powering Africa’s digital economies,” Aganbi stated.

    Dr. Krishnan is lauded as a Pan-African tech enabler who has consistently transformed Africa’s digital landscape. His works have made transformative impacts, especially within the digital infrastructure space.

    Beyond his direct involvement in infrastructure development, he actively promotes and enables local content in Africa, preparing long-term ICT strategies and roadmaps for various emerging economies across the continent, including significant contributions to West African telecom infrastructure development.

    Responding to the recognition in a telephone conversation, Dr. Krishnan expressed his gratitude while also viewing the award as a call to further action. “While I appreciate the convener and management of Titans of Tech Awards for this recognition, I also consider it a clarion call to make more impacts,” he remarked.

    Dr. Krishnan, who has carted home several award recognitions, including Top 50 Most Valuable Personalities in Nigeria’s Digital Economy, Digital Transformation Pioneer Award and Digital Economy Trailblazer, dedicates the Tech Ecosystem Builder of the Year recognition to his colleagues at Africa Data Centres and young African talents who are pushing the boundaries to extend Africa’s tech ecosystem.
