One of Nigeria’s leading and indigenous telecommunications service providers, Hoop Telecoms Limited has called on all Nigerians both in the private and public sector to participate actively in order to achieve a wholly digital economy being pursuit by the federal Government.

The company made the call recently while participating at the Nigeria e-Government Summit 2020, where witnessed participants canvassing for early adoption of technology and increased ICT infrastructure across the country that will promote economic growth and e-Government.

“As a company in the provision of cloud management services for Enterprise and SMEs, which provide companies with full proofed technology, robust infrastructure and a centralized network service application for their business operations, we believe that all Nigerians must have a role to play for us to have a robust digital economy that is being canvassed by the government,” said Maureen Adigwe Okafor, Public Relations Executive on behalf of Hoop Telecoms.

She said Hoop Telecoms has already keyed into the Federal Government agenda by deploying technology solutions that aid seamless processes and enable staff of organizations to work remotely from anywhere in the world.

Meanwhile, Executive Chairman, DigiServe Network Services, and convener of the e-Government summit, Mr. Lanre Ajayi, believes that technology evolution has made it easy for government service delivery and no government can survive effectively without technology application.

“Nigerians need technology to leverage e-Government services,” he said.

The e-Government summit 2020 draw participation from the government and the private sector. Among those who were present at the annual event with the theme: ‘COVID-19: Impetus for Accelerated e-Government Adoption’ is the Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Muhammad Nami, who was represented by the Coordinating Director, FIRS, Mr. Femi Oluwaniyi.

Others are the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his deputy, Dr., Obafemi Hamzat, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, who joined the summit from Kano via a virtual conference and the Secretary to the State Government of Akwa-Ibom State, Dr, Emmanuel Ekuwem, who represented Akwa-Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom,
