    Nnamani, Ayoola to headline Titans of Tech Leadership Roundtable

    The President of Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani and the Executive Chairman, IoT Africa Networks, Mr. Lare Ayoola have been billed to headline the Titans of Tech Seminal Roundtable scheduled for July 23, 2021, in Lagos.

    In a statement signed by Don Pedro Aganbi, Managing Consultant, TechTV, organizer of the event, noted that the roundtable, themed “Harnessing the Potential of AI, IoTs for Transformation of the Digital Economy would precede the prestigious Titans of Tech Hall of Fame Awards.

    He explained IoT which stands for the Internet of things, is simply a network of interconnected devices embedded with software, electronic items and sensors.

    He noted that IoT is not just a buzzword, it is a technology that is already positively enhancing industries across the world. He stated that everything from oil and gas, manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, real estate, etc can all be influenced and made better by the IoT.

    He commended both Engr. Nnamani and Mr. Ayoola for accepting the mantle to deliver the keynote address at a forum where industry leaders both in the public and private sectors would be on hand to explore and dissect the issues.

    He observed that IoT devices like sensors are cost-effective and impactful, helping companies gather big data, monitor operations, predict equipment breakdowns and streamline operations.

    IoT technology, he posited that increased the possibilities for businesses to grow in the world market. It has a humongous impact on the business world due to the implementation of automation and the rapid use of new technology that increases productivity and work efficiency.

    The Titans of Tech Roundtable session would be followed by the Titans of Tech Hall of Fame Awards, popularly called Nigeria’s Tech Industry Grammy.

    The TOT Awards is designed to celebrate Nigeria’s Hi-Tech most important movers and shakers; Organisations, Institutions, Revolutionaries, Icons, pathfinders and Pioneers who blazed the trail and used ICT to improve the way of life across Nigeria and the West African coast.

    ATCON is a professional, non-profit, non-political umbrella organisation of telecommunications companies in Nigeria. Engr. Nnamani is also the Founder/CEO, Medallion Communications Limited, an interconnect clearinghouse and Co-location Data service Company, and has won several national and international awards for his contribution to the growth of telecoms and ICT industry in the global information technology space. For over a decade Medallion has been the backbone supporting Nigeria’s ICT and telecommunications industry in the area of carrier-neutral infrastructure sharing and connectivity thus contributing to efforts to bridge the digital divide.

    Mr. Lare Ayoola is a legend in the Nigerian technology services provision space with over three decades of practical and hands-on experience. He is the promoter of IoT Africa Networks, a company within the Tranter Group and owned by Tranter IT Infrastructure Services Limited (Tranter IT). The firm has been the exclusive Sigfox Operator (SO) in Nigeria since 2019. Sigfox is the world’s leading service provider for the Internet of Things (IoT).
