The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone Limited, Prof. Muhammad Abubakar as part of the National Information Communications Technology Infrastructure Backbone (NICTIB) phase II project, recently inspected the ongoing laying of fibre Optic cables linking Gombe to Yobe.

The project will enhance the Network Communications experience around the North Eastern part of the country.

Also, as part of initiatives to expand digital infrastructure reach across the country and ensure that Galaxy Backbone Network Communications spread, the Professor inspected the drainage construction work going on at the North East Regional Office of Galaxy Backbone in Gombe.

Recall that Galaxy Backbone has deployed a backbone across almost 17 states of Nigeria in an effort to deepen Nigeria’s Digital Economy.  The fibre optic cables support cloud hosting, high-speed internet connectivity and secure data hosting for organisations in the public and private sectors.
