Truecaller, the leading global communications platform, has announced a major update for iPhone, bringing its powerful spam and scam-blocking capabilities to iOS users for the first time.

Rishit Jhunjhunwala, CEO of Truecaller, stated: “We are thrilled to bring the full power of Truecaller to iPhone. This update delivers on a long-standing request from our iOS users and brings their experience in line with our Android offering. We believe this will significantly enhance the calling experience for iPhone users worldwide.”

Leveraging Apple’s new Live Caller ID Lookup framework, Truecaller can now identify all types of calls on iPhone, providing a real-time caller ID experience similar to its Android counterpart. This framework utilizes state-of-the-art homomorphic encryption to ensure privacy while delivering accurate caller information.

A Powerful Truecaller Experience on iPhone

This update allows Truecaller to utilize its extensive AI capabilities and global database to identify the maximum number of calls, ensuring no call goes unidentified.

Key features of this update include:

    • Real-time Caller ID: Identify all incoming calls with Truecaller’s global database.
    • Automatic Spam Blocking: Block unwanted calls automatically.
    • Enhanced Search: Search for previously identified calls in the Phone app, going back up to 2,000 numbers.
    • Premium Family Plan: Share Truecaller Premium benefits with up to four family members at a discounted price.

How to Enable Truecaller on iOS 18.2

    1. Update: Ensure you have Truecaller for iPhone version 14.0 or later.
    2. Enable in Settings: Go to iPhone Settings > Apps > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. Enable all Truecaller switches and open the Truecaller app.
