Lagos is gearing up to be the epicenter of technology, energy, and infrastructure innovation in Africa as IoT West Africa, Data Centre and Cloud Expo Africa, and Power and Water Nigeria converge from May 13–15, 2025 at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.

Under the banner “Digital Africa: Powering a Connected Future,” these co-located events are set to ignite innovation, investment, and collaboration, establishing themselves as Africa’s premier digital infrastructure and energy-focused gathering this year.

Shitij Taneja, Managing Director of Vertex Next

Shitij Taneja, Managing Director of organizer Vertex Next, in a statement made available to Journalists in Lagos highlighted the exceptional lineup of thought leaders and visionaries for the 2025 editions. Key participants include Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), who will share Nigeria’s strategic ICT vision, digital economy policies, and innovation frameworks aimed at empowering local ecosystems and boosting global competitiveness.

Also participating is Mr. Abba Aliyu, Managing Director/CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), who will spearhead discussions on expanding sustainable power access to underserved communities, fostering energy for growth, digital inclusion, and rural economic empowerment.

The participation of these influential leaders underscores Nigeria’s commitment to a connected, innovation-driven, and inclusive future, leveraging NITDA’s digital economy roadmap and REA’s energy infrastructure initiatives.

The event will showcase the latest advancements from over 100 exhibitors and startups spanning Africa, Europe, and Asia. Expect to see emerging technologies in smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, energy solutions, cloud services, and digital platforms.

Among the exhibitors, Mantrac Nigeria, the authorized dealer for Caterpillar in Nigeria since 1997, will present its scalable power solutions tailored for Africa’s burgeoning digital infrastructure. With extensive experience in mission-critical sectors like telecoms and ICT, Mantrac will feature high-performance generator sets, dynamic gas blending (DGB) systems, and comprehensive turnkey solutions designed for optimal efficiency and uptime. They also offer customized service agreements and DGB retrofit kits for significant operational cost savings in large-scale data centers.

“Our commitment extends beyond supplying equipment; we deliver reliability and continuity. Data demands escalate, and we remain dedicated to providing sustainable, future-proof solutions that meet our clients’ evolving needs,” said Emad Adib, Managing Director, Mantrac Nigeria.

Organized by Vertex Next, this event series offers a vital platform for stakeholders to forge partnerships, gain crucial market insights, and drive new business opportunities within West Africa’s dynamic technology ecosystem.

“This event embodies Africa’s ambitious digital trajectory. With Nigeria at its core, we are uniting technology, energy, and infrastructure to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem of innovation,” added Shitij Taneja.

Be part of this transformative event with over 5,000 attendees, 100+ companies, and 50+ expert speakers across three days of innovation, collaboration, and opportunity.
