Interswitch has officially premiered brand-new television commercials and integrated marketing assets for its flagship brands, Quickteller and Verve, during an exclusive media parley on Friday, February 27.

The dual-brand launch, held at the company’s Lagos HQ Campus, reinforces Interswitch’s mission to make payments a seamless, background feature of everyday life, empowering Africans to transact and thrive without friction.

Rooted in the truth that payments should be effortless, Quickteller’s new campaign, anchored by the rallying cry “Run It!”, celebrates the resilience and decisiveness of the modern African consumer.

The new TVC salutes the go-getter by highlighting moments where ambition meets instant action. It showcases seamless transfers that move funds at the speed of thought. The campaign also features instant utility, with bills paid and airtime topped up in seconds. Ultimately, these scenes demonstrate intuitive enabling by positioning Quickteller as the invisible but indispensable partner in seizing opportunities.

Alongside Quickteller, Interswitch unveiled a new thematic commercial for Verve, Africa’s leading indigenous payment card scheme with over 100 million cards in circulation.

The campaign focuses on the vibrant and undaunted African spirit. Beyond secure transactions, the brand highlighted its evolution into a lifestyle partner through initiatives like VerveLife, a fitness and wellness platform that has engaged millions over the last eight years.

Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice-President for Marketing & Communications at Interswitch Group, emphasized the broader impact of these campaigns:

“Together, these campaigns reflect our commitment to driving financial inclusion and championing African ambition at scale. Verve represents confidence in our own story, while Quickteller continues to serve as the trusted platform that enables users to transact across multiple touchpoints flawlessly.”

Also, Tomi Ogunlesi, Divisional Head for Brands, Communications, Content & CSR, detailed the 360-degree media rollout, which includes high-impact TV placements, digital storytelling, and strategic outdoor installations.

In a notable departure from current industry trends, Ogunlesi revealed that both campaigns were delivered entirely through local talent and real human characters by deliberately eschewing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the production. The team prioritized authenticity by using real faces, places, and emotions to drive the narrative. Furthermore, the cast and crew were sourced locally to ensure that African stories are told authentically by African voices.

As Interswitch deepens its pan-African presence, these campaigns signal a refreshed focus on cultural relevance and human connection—positioning the company not just as a tech provider, but as a brand woven into the fabric of African life.
