The Association of Licensed Telecom Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), its Chairman, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, iXPN and its Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Rudman, have taken the lead in supporting the eWorld Forum and the launch of books by veteran journalist and technology writer, Aaron Ukodie, scheduled for September 24, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

ALTON, the umbrella association representing Nigeria’s licensed telecommunications operators, has been a major stakeholder in the development and growth of the country’s telecommunications industry.

Through sustained advocacy and engagement with government, regulators and other industry stakeholders, the association has consistently championed policies and initiatives aimed at creating a more conducive, predictable and sustainable operating environment for telecommunications companies.

ALTON has also been at the forefront of advocating fair, transparent and unfettered policies that will enable the telecommunications sector to continue to thrive, attract investment and deliver improved services to millions of Nigerians.

Under the leadership of Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, ALTON has continued to provide a strong and respected voice for operators on critical issues affecting the industry, including regulatory policies, taxation, infrastructure deployment, quality of service, spectrum management, right-of-way charges and other factors that influence the sustainability and growth of telecommunications businesses in Nigeria.

Mohammed Rudman and iXPN have equally played significant roles in Nigeria’s telecommunications and Internet ecosystem.

Rudman, a prominent industry stakeholder, has contributed to the development of Nigeria’s Internet infrastructure and digital ecosystem and also served at a time as President of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA).

The support of ALTON, Engineer Adebayo, iXPN and Mohammed Rudman for the eWorld Forum and Ukodie’s book launch is particularly significant given the central role that telecommunications and Internet connectivity have played in Nigeria’s digital transformation over the past 25 years.
