Africa marks a significant leap forward in connectivity, courtesy of a partnership announcement by Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a major African tech company with Eutelsat, a world leader in satellite services, to bring cutting-edge Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite internet to the continent.

“We’re committed to bringing the latest technology to Africa. This partnership allows us to offer high-speed LEO services across Africa, empowering businesses with new possibilities,” said Liquid CEO Ahmed El Beheiry.

The partnership leverages Eutelsat’s innovative OneWeb LEO satellite network, which offer a significant advantage over traditional satellites. Such advantages include:

    • Lower latency: Reduced signal delay for faster performance.
    • Faster orbital periods: Satellites complete orbits quicker, leading to more consistent connections.
    • Higher bandwidth: More data can be transmitted, enabling activities like video conferencing and cloud computing.

For many African businesses, this translates to:

    • Improved performance for critical applications.
    • Reliable internet access in remote areas previously unconnected.
    • Versatile solutions for various business needs, including internet access and point-to-point connections.

Liquid’s expanded reach goes beyond just providing services. They aim to be a one-stop shop for connectivity solutions, simplifying the process for businesses.

As Eutelsat’s OneWeb network expands, Liquid plans to offer LEO services in more regions across Africa. This will benefit businesses in various industries, especially those in remote locations.

Liquid sees this partnership as more than just providing services. It’s about creating opportunities for businesses and communities across Africa, fostering a continent-wide environment for progress and innovation.
