    Amos Emmanuel to speak at 23rd Infopoverty World Conference

    The President of Programos Foundation and WSA National Expert for Nigeria, Mr. Amos Emmanuel has been confirmed as a distinguished speaker at the prestigious 23rd Infopoverty World Conference, which is set to take place next month.

    The theme of the conference, is “AI turmoils digital processes: how to ensure human rights and provide e-welfare for all?”

    Mr. Emmanuel’s groundbreaking initiative, the InnovationbedAI Labs Intervention, has paved the way for a country-level rural-urban ecosystem project. This initiative is founded on the ICT4SIDS (SPACE4ICT) resource management and the SDGAdvisor Toolkit solutions architecture, specifically designed for developing countries. His impactful session, “Urban-Rural Linkages to promote sustainable development and Clean Energy of urban and rural communities,” is scheduled for 3:45 pm (EST) during the Fourth session.

    As we gear up for the launch of the InnovationbedAI Labs upskilling programme, Mr. Emmanuel is dedicated to completing national workshops and campaigns on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for undergraduates of tertiary institutions. The journey kicks off on March 26th, 2024, with the South-South region event hosted by Topfaith University, Mkpatak, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. The schedule includes the Northern Nigeria edition on March 27th, 2024, the South East region event on March 29th, 2024, and hosting by Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, and Mountain Top University for Ogun State, covering the South West regions of Nigeria.

    Notable participants for the Northern region include Zouheir LAKHDISSI, WSA Eminent National Expert for Morocco, and other distinguished guests like Habib Abubakar Gajam Ph.D., Executive Secretary, ZITDA, -Special Guest-, HON. HARUNA SANI SANI, Director General, – Nasarawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy (NASITDEA), Abdullahi Abubakar, (Regional InnovationbedAI Convener), WSA Youth Ambassador, WSA National Nominee (Greenbook), Zamfara State, Henry Lamba Danwawo, WSA Youth Ambassador for Kaduna State, and Ibrahim Albashir Ishaq, WSA Youth Ambassador, for Borno State, (Secretary to the InnovationedAI House). This journey of knowledge dissemination and skill development aims to empower the youth and drive progress in AI and ML.
