The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a public notice approving the disconnection of Exchange Telecommunications Limited from MTN Nigeria Communications Limited. The public notice signed by Reuben Mouka, Director, Public Affairs at NCC noted that the decision to disconnect Exchange Telecommunications Limited follows Exchange’s failure to settle outstanding interconnect charges. The NCC, in accordance with the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 and the Guidelines for Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators, 2012, reviewed the application from MTN and provided Exchange with an opportunity to respond.
