The 2020 index that measures the status of young people in 181 countries around the world has ranked Nigeria in the 161 positions out of the 181 countries measured. Tagged ‘Global Youth Development Index’, the index was released by Commonwealth Secretariat, where Singapore ranked top for the first time followed by Slovenia, Norway, Malta and Denmark. Chad, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Afghanistan and Niger came last respectively. The Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mal. Kashifu Inuwa hailed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) for keying into digital transformation by launching its Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) Platform.
