The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), yesterday at the 2019 fourth quarter Open Forum of the NCC’s Industry Consumer Advisory Forum (ICAF) in Abuja, reiterated its commitment towards protecting telecom consumers against all forms of financial frauds. At the forum, which was well attended by institutional members of ICAF, stakeholders from the telecoms/ financial sectors; law enforcement agencies as well as consumer advocacy groups, Nigeria’s telecom regulator disclosed that it will fight the scourge of financial frauds through its multi-sectoral collaboration approach. The telecom regulator insisted on this today at a Workshop on Operators Capacity Building on the Framework For Accounting Separation For The Nigerian Communications Industry, holding at the Colonades Hotel, Ikoyi Lagos.
