The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has said it will soon carry out enforcement against non-type approved telecom devices in the country, noting that such devices are a setback to the growth of Nigeria’s telecom industry. Federal government-owned Galaxy Backbone has lamented the level of destruction on fibre optic cables during road construction and maintainers, saying it is taking steps to address the situation. Chinese technology giant, ZTE and China Telecom have partnered to combat the further spread of the deadly Coronavirus, leveraging 5G network and other communications equipment to deploy remote diagnosis system. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said consumers in the telecommunications market have become so sophisticated that engaging them is now over and above the use of traditional media alone.
