The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has sealed a partnership deal with the Lagos Central Senatorial District that will engage 10 fresh graduates from the district on a 4-Week Work Experience Programme. According to the Controller Lagos Zonal Office of NCC, Henry Ojiokpota, the Work Experience Programme is a month-long exercise and is designed to empower youth with requisite work ethics, appropriate behaviour in an official environment and basic capacity building on telecommunication issues. As the world marks Data Privacy Day 2020, a cybersecurity expert, Mr. Remi Afon has called on the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari to assent to the Data Protection Bill, which was passed by the 8th National Assembly in May 2019. Technology giant, Google today responded to the needs of entrepreneurs and technology startups in Africa by opening a developers’ space in Lagos, which is part of its Launchpad Accelerator Africa program.
