The President of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria, Dr. Yele Okeremi, has adduced reasons why software developed locally by Nigerians are not getting the desired patronage both within and outside the country. The second quarter of 2019 financial report by Jumia indicates that in terms of monetization, Nigeria’s biggest eCommerce platform recorded a strong increase in GMV and active consumers, as the marketplace revenue increased by 90% compared to the second quarter of 2018.
