  Nigeria’s largest system integration company, CWG Plc has been confirmed as one of the companies licensed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to participate in the procurement of prepaid meters in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).   The team of lawyers who participated in compelling MTN to pay the N330 billion fine slammed on it in 2015 by the Nigerian Communications Commission for SIM registration breaches will be paid a whopping N500 million fee.   Internet giant, Google has announced it is extending the LaunchPad Accelerator Africa programme to include startups from a further 12 African countries of Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Cameroon, Botswana, Sénégal, Ethiopia, Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria. The existing countries of Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda in the class 1 of the programme will be retained.   The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has again assured that the implementation of the Nigerian Content Development Program in Information and Communication Technology is on course.
