A new research finding, which  was conducted by Ringier One Africa Media (ROAM) has revealed that close to 90 percent of applicants that apply to a job position in Africa are objectively not a match to the role advertised. The company attributed the trend to lack of of jobs, but noted also that a fundamental misunderstanding of job requirements, both from employers and candidates is largely responsible. “Nine of ten Africans unqualified for the Jobs they apply to.  Many Africans who apply for a job are not qualified in the first place,” the finding revealed.   A new report from the GSMA has noted that unlocking spectrum for the mobile industry to deliver innovative 5G services across different industry sectors could add $565 billion to global GDP and $152 billion in tax revenue from 2020 to 20341.
