In a bold move signaling the dawn of a new era for sustainable transport on the continent, Hybrid Motors Nigeria Limited has announced a massive blueprint to establish an integrated electric mobility ecosystem designed to position Africa as a global contender in the green tech space.

Disclosing this via a strategic corporate update, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hybrid Motors Nigeria Limited, Jubril Arogundade, declared that the company is laying the foundation for one of Africa’s most ambitious industrial projects.

According to Arogundade, the initiative goes far beyond simple vehicle assembly, insisting that the goal is to build a fully sustainable ecosystem that can support the continent’s transition away from fossil fuels.

The vision outlined by the automotive firm spans a highly integrated network of clean energy and smart tech solutions.

The core pillars of the ecosystem include local electric vehicle manufacturing, which focuses on assembling and manufacturing world-class electric vehicles within Africa.

It also covers infrastructure and power through the development of a nationwide EV charging network alongside battery energy storage solutions and renewable energy integration.

Furthermore, the ecosystem integrates smart tech by deploying intelligent mobility platforms and AI-driven smart transport technologies.

“Every industrial revolution creates a defining generation of companies. We believe Hybrid Motors Nigeria Limited is building one of them,” Arogundade said, emphasizing that with Africa’s population soaring past 1.5 billion amid rapid urbanization, the next generation of mobility will not be exclusive to the West or Asia. “It will also be built in Africa,” he assured.

Beyond technology adoption, the project targets a deep macroeconomic impact for Nigeria and the broader African market. The company noted that its mission centers on creating thousands of skilled jobs, strengthening local supply chains, lowering carbon emissions, and building an “industrial champion.”

Meanwhile, to scale this ambitious project, Hybrid Motors Nigeria is actively opening its doors to a wide spectrum of local and international collaborators. The company is inviting institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, climate and infrastructure funds, venture capital firms, global automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and energy technology companies to join the ecosystem.

“This is more than an investment in a company. The first industrial revolution transformed the world. The electric mobility revolution will transform the next century… The opportunity is here. The time is now,” Arogundade added.

With this development, Hybrid Motors Nigeria positions itself at the forefront of the continent’s digital and green economy, highlighting the growing intersection of AI, hardware engineering, and renewable energy in driving Africa’s industrial future.
