LG Electronics has announced a nationwide campaign to celebrate decades of customer loyalty and technological heritage by searching for the oldest functioning LG television sets in Nigeria.

The initiative, themed “The Oldest LG TV,” honors long-time customers whose screens have stood the test of time. In a bridge between nostalgia and innovation, LG is inviting these loyal users to trade their legacy devices for the future of home entertainment: the advanced LG AI QNED TV.

For generations, LG televisions have been more than just electronic devices; they have served as silent witnesses to family milestones and cultural moments in Nigerian homes. This campaign acknowledges that deep emotional connection while showcasing LG’s leadership in AI-powered display technology.

The narrative-driven campaign highlights community and the evolution of the viewing experience. Participants are encouraged to share the stories behind their long-serving sets, transforming everyday appliances into symbols of trust and resilience.

In a creative twist, the campaign introduces LG’s AI-enabled televisions as responsive companions. Unlike the static screens of the past, these modern units understand viewer preferences, recommend tailored content, and enhance picture quality in real time.

“The journey from our classic CRT televisions to today’s AI QNED technology reflects how far both our innovation and our customers have come. Those early sets were built to last—a testament to durability. This initiative honors that legacy while introducing a new era of intelligent viewing,” said Mr. Choongbae Seok, General Manager, Media Entertainment Solutions at LG Electronics Nigeria. “

    How to Participate

Nigerian residents can enter the search by following these steps:

    1. Visit the official portal: https://lgsearchcampaign.vercel.app/
    2. Upload a photo or video of your functioning old LG TV.
    3. Share the story behind it, including how long you have owned it and the memories it holds.

The winner will receive a brand-new LG AI QNED TV, effectively upgrading their household memories into the high-definition future.

The search coincides with LG’s broader strategic push in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. At the recent LG InnoFest 2026 in Abu Dhabi, the company unveiled its premium 2026 AI TV lineup, headlined by:

    • Flagship OLED evo G6 & 100-inch Micro RGB evo: Powered by the new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3 for faster, more intelligent performance.
    • OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV: An ultra-slim “artwork” design featuring true wireless connectivity to eliminate cable clutter.

By celebrating the oldest TVs still standing strong, LG is not just upgrading hardware; it is honoring the families who have trusted the brand through changing times and evolving technologies.
