Direct selling is poised for massive growth in Nigeria, reaching an estimated $204.89 billion by 2032, according to QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness direct selling company. This growth presents a significant opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs seeking financial independence with minimal capital investment.

Disclosing this during VCON 2024 Media Experience sharing webinar yesterday, Akeem Ajisafe the Chief Executive Officer of Transblue, , QNET’s local partner in Nigeria, noted that this growth is however hindered owing to the challenge of misconceptions surrounding direct selling in Nigeria and many African countries.

He believes that these misconceptions often stem from the prevalence of pyramid schemes that masquerade as legitimate businesses.

To address this issue, QNET emphasizes ethical practices, networking, and building sustainable businesses. Their recent V-Convention (VCON) 2024 served as a platform to educate the public and dispel negative stereotypes.

The event showcased success stories of entrepreneurs who have thrived through QNET’s direct selling model. Ajisafe highlighted QNET’s commitment to ethical practices and transparency, stressing that VCON wasn’t just about education; it was a vibrant community event.

Attendees like Nigerian journalists Sulaiman Aledeh and Peter Oluka described the experience as thrilling and inspiring. They praised QNET’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration with legal experts to ensure ethical practices.

Oluka was particularly impressed by the diverse range of attendees and the emphasis on personal and professional growth. VCON offered valuable insights into the direct selling industry and its potential for entrepreneurship. QNET’s commitment to developing high-quality and environmentally friendly products further strengthens its position in the market.

Overall, QNET aims to be a leader in driving the responsible growth of direct selling in Nigeria, empowering entrepreneurs and contributing to the country’s economic development.
