    The 21st edition of the Titans of Tech Awards and Gala Night is set to take center stage july 25 in Lagos, Nigeria as the premier recognition platform for trailblazers, innovators, and visionaries shaping the West African technology landscape. This landmark edition will celebrate technological excellence under the powerful theme: “Game Changers.”

    The Titans of Tech Awards, fondly referred to as the “Tech Grammy,” has for over 21 years consistently spotlighted organizations and innovators who have significantly shaped and transformed Nigeria’s technology landscape. It is widely recognized as one of the most credible platforms for recognizing excellence, innovation, and impact in the ICT ecosystem.

    The theme for the 21st edition reflects a defining truth of the current digital era—technology is moving faster than ever, and the people behind that progress are rewriting the rules. Game Changers are those who dare to think differently, challenge the status quo, and deliver impactful, scalable solutions to local and global challenges.

    From startups creating life-changing solutions to legacy institutions leading digital transformation, the 2025 Gala Night is dedicated to recognizing those making measurable impact across Technology, fintech, healthtech, agritech, AI, e-government, education, and more.

    Over the years, the Titans of Tech Awards has grown into a cornerstone of the Nigerian and West African digital ecosystem. With a legacy spanning 21 years, the platform has recognized and celebrated leaders, organizations, products, and innovations that have driven growth, empowerment, and digital transformation across the region.

    This year’s theme, “Game Changers”, highlights individuals and organizations that are not just participating in the tech ecosystem—but reshaping it. These are the thinkers, doers, and disrupters who are rewriting the rules, creating new models, solving local problems with global impact and setting new benchmarks in technology, innovation, and digital inclusion.

    Over the years, the Titans of Tech stage has honored some of the most influential figures and organizations in West African tech, including:

    • Ndukwe Ndukwe, OFR recognized and honoured for presiding over Nigeria’s first Digital Mobile License Spectrum Auction, which has been adjudged internationally to be the most transparent, successful, and professionally handled and credited as the force behind the tremendous growth in the nation’s telecommunications sector, with telephone lines hitting the 60 million mark in under eight years up from only 500, 000 lines.
    • Leo Stan Ekeh, Founder of Zinox Technologies – Honored for his legendary contributions to ICT development and digital entrepreneurship.
    • Mitchell Elegbe, CEO of Interswitch – Recognized for pioneering digital payment infrastructure and advancing financial inclusion in Nigeria.
    • MainOne (now an Equinix Company) – Awarded for building West Africa’s leading connectivity and data center services platform.
    • Funke Opeke, Founder of MainOne – Celebrated as tech Amazon for bridging the broadband gap and empowering businesses with high-speed connectivity.
    • Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) – Recognized for regulatory innovation and support of the digital economy.
    • Aiyebeni .A. Peters (Rtd) Chairman, Alpha Technologies, for opening the door to the use of the non-toll free 0700 and toll-free 0800 number lines by business and corporations alike.

    These luminaries exemplify what it means to be a Titans of Tech—visionary, impactful, and future-focused.
