    CPN elects Jagun as President/Chairman of Council

    The immediate Past Vice–President/Vice-Chairman of Council of Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) [CPN], Mr. Kole Jagun has been elected the new President/Chairman of Council.

    In a keenly contested election, Jagun, a consummate IT practitioner and entrepreneur polled 270 votes, representing (70.3% of the total votes cast) to defeat his contender, Prof Afolayan Obiniyi who polled 110 votes in the online election which held earlier on Thursday 6th May, 2021.

    The Chairperson of the CPN Electoral Committee, Prof (Mrs.) Abimbola Soriyan, also announced Dr Eyo Effiong Essien, the only candidate for the post of the Vice – President/Vice-Chairman of Council, who polled 341 votes to be returned unopposed.
