Cliptize is an awesome assignment tool that gives educators the superpower, to convert any online video or webpage to a class assignment by attaching their own questions to it.

Students have to watch the video or read the content of the webpage before attempting the questions. Also, teachers do not need to go through the stress of scoring students one after the other and analysing the class performance as students are automatically scored and their performance automatically analyzed. Their results are constantly updated and sent to the teacher.

One big advantage of this type of assignments is, Educators can share them totally offline, during classes. They do this simply by giving the class a ‘key’, which is a word or phrase, for example the topic of the class eg. ‘History of Algebra’ or ‘Continents’ etc. Once you go on cliptize.com and type in ‘History of Algebra’, your teacher’s assignment pops out for you to perform and submit. This comes in handy for students who do not own a personal phone, as they can use any phone or laptop they find at home without the need to signup or login. It also gives parents the opportunity to see what their kids are being taught in school.

Aside assignments, teachers also help students build a solid foundation for the next topic, by giving them a cliptize assignment before the topic is taught. This changes the class dynamics, from passive learning to active learning. Now, students ask the right questions and can explain what they understand from the assignment.

Cliptize is designed to be very easy to use as it aims to be used by students as early as in Nursery schools. Cliptize is supported by most websites. We are currently working on supporting other video platforms aside YouTube.
