    PalmPay reinforces awareness of official support channels as fraud risks evolve

    Following its recent celebration of Customer Service Week, PalmPay is reinforcing its commitment to keeping customers supported and informed by educating users on its official support channels.

    With millions of Nigerians relying on digital financial services for everyday transactions, knowing where to seek help has become increasingly important. PalmPay is therefore encouraging customers to verify support requests carefully, use only official channels and report suspicious activity promptly.

    One of the common risks customers face is impersonation, where fraudsters pose as customer service representatives or financial institutions in an attempt to obtain sensitive information or persuade users to authorise transactions.

    These scams may occur through messaging platforms or calls, with fraudsters sometimes offering fake rewards, promising refunds or claiming they need account details to resolve an issue.

    PalmPay reminds customers that they should never share their OTPs, PINs, passwords, or verification codes with anyone. Customers should also avoid clicking suspicious links or transacting with fraudulent individuals offering rewards or other benefits.

    Merchants should always verify payments through their official transaction records rather than relying solely on screenshots or messages presented to them. This can help them identify fake payment claims and prevent avoidable losses.

    PalmPay’s Support Channels

    Customers who suspect fraudulent activity, notice an unfamiliar transaction or need assistance with an account-related issue can contact PalmPay through its official channels:

    * Phone: 0201 888 6888
    * Email: support@palmpay.com
    * Website: www.palmpay.com
    * In-app support: Access Customer Service directly through the PalmPay app (Live Chat).
    * Social Media: Find PalmPay’s official social media channels here.

    PalmPay encourages customers to familiarise themselves with the available security features in its Security Center, save its official support contacts and report suspicious activity promptly. Customers should always verify requests through trusted channels before sharing information or taking action.

    Through its ongoing PalmPay Dey For You campaign, PalmPay continues to strengthen customer awareness around safer banking practices, fraud prevention and the tools available to help customers protect their accounts. As part of this commitment, the company will continue to invest in customer support, security education and accessible channels that make it easier for users to get verified help when they need it.
