The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) marked its 21st Graduation Ceremony and welcomed the incoming Class of 2025 at a vibrant combined matriculation and graduation event. Held on August 23, 2025, at the ATTC/PIWC Hall in Kokomlemle, the ceremony highlighted AIT’s dedication to providing high-quality, technology-driven education and fostering innovation across Africa.
AIT, recognized as Ghana’s best technology-focused university by the Ghana Tertiary Awards and Global Business Insight (UK), celebrated the graduation of 505 students from both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Meanwhile, 1,094 new students were welcomed into the Class of 2025.
In his address, Professor Clement K. Dzidonu, President of AIT, emphasized that the institute’s mission is to equip graduates with the skills and innovative mindset necessary to excel in Africa’s rapidly evolving digital economy. Graduates earned degrees at the PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s levels in fields such as engineering, IT, business administration, and applied sciences.
Driving innovation through global partnerships
The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission accredits AIT and maintains key affiliations with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the Open University of Malaysia. These partnerships ensure that students have access to international-standard academic programs and cutting-edge research opportunities.
The institute’s leadership reaffirmed its commitment to expanding these global collaborations. By blending local expertise with international insights, AIT continues to empower students and faculty to lead Africa’s innovation-driven and knowledge-based future.
