The Federal Government has described the decision of some state governors to increase Right of Way charges as an affront and disregards to an earlier resolution reached by the National Economic Council (NEC). The Cyber Security Experts Association of Nigeria (CSEAN) has released its cybersecurity predictions for 2020, warning that cybersecurity will continue to gain traction globally, largely to emerging technologies, some of which have defiled regulations. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), said it is ready to replicate here in Nigeria the Swedish Programme for ICT Development in Emerging Regions (SPIDER), a dedicated programme instituted to provide capacity building in emerging markets. Mr. Emmanuel Onajite, a research analyst whose research focus is centered on the impact of broadband penetration on low-income economies, has predicted it is possible for Nigeria to achieve a 70 percent broadband penetration target in five years.
